A Quiet Isolation (1993)

from A Quiet Isolation by Eurocide

/

about

The piece "A Quiet Isolation" needs a commentary; originally not written as part of the EUROCIDE projects, it fits nevertheless into this EP and, especially, into the current period of time. It was created during a one-time live session with Ralph "ZAX" Schilowsky on the guitar, me on the Alpha-Juno & mike - and noting else.
The fact that the text and the music were freely improvised certainly adds to their charm.

lyrics

A Quiet Isolation

Of course you touched me
In my quiet isolation
I never stood far away from you
But I never understood
Why I had to leave this natural room
Filled with trees
Which chanted from the inside

Of course you will curse me again
Put a finger in my mouth and taste
Did you taste the taste of infinite nothing?
Or is it just the taste of salt?

Crumbling again to a bunch of dust
Blown away to the universe (with top speed)
No, you would never follow me
You'll never find the ways to the spaces I walk through

Again and again parks and rooms
Trees and chairs
And everything is superstition you said
Or just the amount of my imagination

No! No don't grip your fingers on me!
With your bloodstained nails you can still
scratch the last rests of my conciousness

I spent so many years to extend the visions
What a pity...

Fly with me
Swim with me
Burn with me and
Dig with me a hole through the earth
A corridor to meet Tibetan monks

Orange blinds my eyes as I broke through the surface
And they gave me strange liquids to drink
And they read me my book
They've kept it hundreds of years in their archives
Just for this one day
As I climbed the mountains
For its height

They will never find a way
Perhaps Howard can help you
If you could understand him
He knows everything about his water
And he will turn the circles
again and again and again...

Of course I didn't know what I was doing
As I fell upon you like an animal
And realized that you were true
But biting you was so much fun

And also today I still don't know why
I stuck seven daggers inside you

Did you say you have an itch in your back?
Follow me I said, but I forgot that you can't
I forgot everything!

Eurocide means "killing Europe".
They handle old prophecies of seers for the near future of Europe. If you compare their content, you can see a thread of possible events.
